Register your Interest

If you are interested in accessing counselling through Common Thread, please contact us via email using the address below.

We understand that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, so there is no pressure to share large amounts of information initially.

Once we receive your enquiry, we will send you further information about the service alongside a referral form to complete if you would like to continue.

Before getting in touch

Please note:

  • Sessions are currently online only
  • Sessions cost £45
  • We are not a crisis service
  • Waiting times may vary depending on availability

You do not need a formal neurodivergence diagnosis to access support.

What happens after you reach out?
1. Receive a referral form

We will reply via email with some further information about the service alongside a referral form to complete if you would like to continue.

The form helps us understand your preferences, availability, and any access needs so we can think carefully about potential matches.

2. Join the waiting list

Once we receive your completed referral form, you will be added to the waiting list.

Waiting times may vary depending on counsellor availability and fit.

3. Matching process

When a suitable space becomes available, we will contact you to discuss a potential match with a counsellor.

Matches are based on a combination of:

  • counsellor availability
  • session times
  • practical fit
  • therapeutic needs
  • access needs and preferences where possible

While we always aim to make thoughtful matches, we cannot guarantee availability with a specific counsellor.

If both the client and counsellor wish to proceed, the counsellor will then arrange an initial session directly.

Common Thread coordinates referrals and matching, while all ongoing therapeutic work and scheduling is managed independently by the counsellor.
